This report describes the effect of the disposal of liquid radioactive and chemical wastes on the quality of the water in the Snake River Plain aquifer at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory. Ground-water samples were collected to determine the concentration and the migration of radioactive wastes in the subsurface. Detectable plutonium radioisotopes and total chromium concentrations have been found in only two wells which penetrate the aquifer. Refs.
