摘要
The combination magnetic electron-wave interaction of two relativistic electron beams in a smooth waveguide with one of the natural waveguide waves is considered. The characteristic equation is derived for this system within the framework of linear theory. It is shown that such an electron-wave system makes it possible to obtain a high upward frequency conversion coefficient not only far from the cutoff of the operating waveguide wave, where the system can operate as a TWT, but also near cutoff, where the problem of producing feedback is considerably facilitated.
