A method is presented for the calculation of the fuel economy afforded by a gas turbine district heating power plant and for the determination of the optimal district heating coefficient. It is concluded that gas turbine plants can be very efficient district heating units. They are economic even with medium thermal loads (100 - 500 Gcal/h).
