摘要：

We prove that there are many C** infinity solutions of the semilinear wave equations u//u- delta u plus f(u) equals 0, with C** infinity initial data and compact support, with the property that they do not propagate on spherical shells. Our method is elementary and works for a large class of nonlinearities, which includes the case f(s) equals s**3.
