摘要
Improved flame retardant polymers are necessary for wires, cables, and associated electrical equipment. A new generation of polymers and polymer-based compounds for use in electrical cable insulation is presented that offers improved performance in resisting fire ignition and propagation, and in reducing the evolution of smoke, and toxic and corrosive gases. Fire retardant types of insulating materials are studied, tested and evaluated.
