The storage unit of the generator is switched on a low-impedance line into whose gap is connected a shaping discharger, from whose output a high-voltage pulse with a shortened leading edge is distributed along cables to users, connected into its gap. To raise the stability of the pulse parameters the shaper is built in the form of two coaxial conical junctions whose wave impedance varies along their lengths. The tips of the cones are oriented toward one another, and at this point an annular gasfilled discharge gap is formed. Pulses with an amplitude of 2055 kV and a 1.5-5 nsec leading edge, depending on the gas pressure, are formed simultaneously at the generator output.
