摘要
This paper presents the results of computations of wave loads on fixed and floating structures using three-dimensional, sink-source techniques (diffraction theory). Theoretical calculations are compared with model experiments. Statistical methods are discussed also. Computations of short-term responses in irregular seas using different wave-spetrum formulations are included also. This procedure has not been prominent in the design of large offshore structures yet, although it long has been used widely in ship design.
