By simulation of the cooling process of the steel semiproduct of rectangular cross-section on two-dimensional mathematical models, formulated on the basis of the explicit and the implicit finite difference methods, a comparison between the methods according to the accuracy and speed of calculation was performed. In this work the model formulated on the basis of the explicit method is presented.
