摘要：
In selecting materials for high voltage insulations for use at low temperatures, the shrinkage behavior of the combination of conductor and insulation, i. e. , metal/plastic, must be taken into account. A simple technique of measuring contraction at low temperatures has been developed, which is described in this paper. The results obtained with various insulating materials are discussed. This translation omits figures which are in the German text elsewhere in the issue.
