摘要：
Applications of computer assisted mine planning are described in mineral exploration, development and operations. The strength of this tool lies in the improved ability to plan and execute mining projects. Such benefit is illustrated by three cases representing feasibility studies, long- to short-range mine planning, and operations monitoring and control. Quantitative benefit and cost data are presented.
