Performing Work for Electrifying the New Paris - South Eastern Region Railway LIne.

The paper sets forth the techniques and means used to perform work for electrifying, at 25 kV, the Pairs-South Eastern Region High Speed line; it describes the version with precast foundation block anchored on minute piles to resist tension and compression, which presents an original aspect of foundation work. The part of the paper which deals with construction emphasizes the high catenary quality level which is is indispensable for obtaining excellent power supply collection at high speeds. Topographic surveys and corrections have been necessary to adapt the equipment to the temporary state of the track at the time of the performance of work. Finally, the article analyzes the measures taken to resorb the creeping of contact wire and to suppress distortions resulting therefrom.
