Effect of packaging adhesives on wastepaper recycling - a review

Adhesives present when wastepaper is recycled lead to the formation of 'stickies', which affect the whole of the recycling operation from the reprocessing of fibres to converting and finishing of the waste fibre product. This paper examines these effects and suggests how the problems associated with them could be overcome.
