Based on a study of the facies and paleogeographical circumstances of sediment accumulation and conditions of the formation of pools, the prospects of search for nonanticlinal oil and gas pools in the Visean terrigenous formation are evaluated. The Shalym trough of the Kama-Kinel system is recommended as a proving ground to carry out experimental-methodical geophysical explorations.
