A miniaturized, program-oriented automatic pipe/tube welding system has been developed for in-lace joining of fluid systems. The integrated, modular design concept evolved from the requirements for multipurpose, miniaturization, convenience, safety, portability, and all-%position operation. The system programer controls all timing functions and weld current sequence and may be programmed manually or by punch card for a versatile, automatic welding sequence.
