Installation and operation of a nominal 500 KW Rankine Cycle power plant is discussed. The waste heat source selected is sulfuric acid at 240 degree F, and the system will be installed at the Allied Chemical North Claymont, Delaware, Works. The generated electricity is utilized directly at the hardware, and choice of working fluid are given. Financial analysis is discussed to illustrate the anticipated profitability of the project. A detailed schedule is presented, including a one-year demonstaration period.
