摘要
The atmospheric pressure fluidized bed (AFBC) is described as an environmentally acceptable and cost effective method of producing heat energy from coal for industrial or utility applications. In AFBC, sulfur dioxide stack emissions are reduced through reaction of the sulfur released during combustion with the crushed limestone in the bed to produce an environmentally acceptable solid waste stream of calcium sulfate.
