The programs presented were devised to facilitate the design of helical compression springs using round, rectangular, and square wire. Pertinent formulas and flowcharts are presented so that those users having computers with sufficient memory can write data files and adapt these programs to them. Explicit listings of the programs for the HP-41CX are provided.
