Flame Protection of Rigid Polyurethane Molding Materials.

The flame protection of plastics materials is of a high topical interest. As a rule, it is attained by means of additional materials. Little attention is given to an improved flame resistance by a directed modification of the structure. As far as polyurethanes are concerned, this principle can more easily be realized because of the richness of variants than with other groups of plastics. Some theoretical ideas referring to this fact are given by the present article. 7 refs.
