Review article describes main design conceptions of fiber-optical systems for signal distribution in modules of phased array antenna (PAA). Technical decisions are discussed allowing to increase the number of fiber channels up to several thousands, including the ones by use of Erbium doped fiber amplifiers. Optical control systems are described for amplitude and phase distribution in PAA aperture and phase stabilization methods and systems are discussed.
