摘要
A study was made of the effect of prior plastic deformation and residual austenite stability on the mechanical properties of martensitic-austenitic steels. Using one of the steels as an example, the kinetics of the transformation of residual austenite into martensite during testing was found to have a favorable effect by making it possible to retain a high yield point with a maximum plasticity. This result may be of significance in developing new grades of steel with a plasticity obtained through a transformation.
