Satellite linear channel capacity in digital TV signal transmission

摘要：
The new technologies on compression and processing of digital image signals allow one to considerably increase the linear channels capacity. In this paper, relation is searched between the satellite linear channel capacity and power indicators of a satellite radio link in use of the digital TV signals transmission standard DVS-2 and some power indicators of space craft and ground stations. The channel capacity is defined as the maximum transmission rate of digital TV transport flow formed by the standard MPEG-2.
