摘要：

A containment vessel was developed to improve workability and minimize exposure of maintenance workers to radiation through the enlargement of the vessel and improvement of the intravessel equipment layout as a link of the MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry)-led project to improve and standardize lightwater nuclear power plant. The vessel is composed of a dry well in which a reactor pressure vessel is housed and a suppression chamber which stores about 3,800 m**3 of pool water.
