摘要
A possibility has been investigated to minimize the moisture content of blend by currently available charging a coke oven (without any modifications of equipment). A new procedure for blend preparation for coking is suggested. It includes drying a coal blend to a residual moisture of 2%, separating and compacting moisture-free thin sizes without binders, mixing the compacts with large sizes to which gas purification waste is added and charging a routine coke oven by usual means. This procedure results in 25% savings in heat consumption and higher competitiveness of cokemaking due to less operating costs.
