摘要
Carbon black and capsulated amorphous phosphorus were applied as modification agents of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) to improve the flame-retardant property. A comparison of effectiveness among four kinds of carbon black was made. The improvement on the flame-retardant properties of UHMWPE and the influence of modification on its mechanical performance and heat resistance was studied. The flame-retardant formulation was optimized and the flame-retardant mechanism was also discussed.
