摘要
The object of the study is to maximize the photoconductive sensitivity of cadmium sulfide by the efficient light absorption and the concentration of various kinds of dyes added to CdS. The authors describe the effect of an increase in dye concentration on the photoconductive activation energy. It has been concluded from experimental results that the increase in the photoconductive sensitivity depends more on the photoconductive activation energy than on an increase in the light intensity, at a predetermined dye concentration. It was found that the selection of the optimum dye concentration for the maximum photoconductive activation energy could bring about a 9- to 62-fold increase in the photoconductive sensitivity.
