BROADBAND MICROSTRIP PARALLEL-COUPLED FILTERS USING MULTI-LINE SECTIONS.

A microstrip parallel-coupled filter may be realized by using multiline coupled sections instead of the standard two line coupled section. The multi-line section enables the designer to fabricate the PCF with much greater realizable bandwidth by reducing the difficulty of fabrication. Two examples of this type of filter are presented, one of which demonstrates an octave bandwidth.
