摘要
The Grayson Electric Power Generating Station and the Scholl Canyon landfill is owned by the City of Glendale. In 1990, the City was confronted with the challenge of complying with increasingly stringent environmental regulations governing the operations of both the station and the landfill. In view of this, the City decided to seek a technological approach to environmental compliance that might offer a return on the investment. The approach taken is to compress and deliver the landfill gas (LFG) to Grayson Generating Station and use it to fire the plant's steam boilers. This option allowed environmental compliance to be achieved while offering tangible economic benefits.
