Using the Arlan deposit in Bashkiriya as an example, a study is made of the displacement of oil by aqueous solutions of surfactants or/and partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamides, and also by carbonated water and hot water. It is shown that the displacement of oil by water containing additions of surfactants and polymers simultaneously is a highly promising technique.
