The solar equipment consists of a high temperature flat plate solar collector, heat collection and storage equipment with a double tank and water circuit, a fan coil unit with preheater coil, etc. , while the auxiliary sources consist of gas fired space and hot water heating units and an electric chiller. This system is applied to a solar home to obtain approximately 65% savings in energy costs. Evaluation and comparison tests are now in progress.
