Effective thermopiezoelectric properties of laminated composites

This work deals with the determination of the effective characteristics of laminated thermopiezoelectric composites with recurrent structure with arbitrarily anisotropic components. The author considers a thermopiezoelectric composite with recurrent structure whose thermopiezomechanical behavior is described by the mixed initial-boundary-value problem. To investigate the obtained effective characteristics, the author took the following materials as components of the composite: tourmalin, α-quartz, Seignette salt, and barium titanate ceramics. Their thermopiezoelectric properties in the local system of coordinates x′k are presented. The effective characteristics calculated for some of the composites are presented.
