The International Symposium for the Paper Machine Covering Industry took place from 7-9 June 2000 in Flims, Switzerland. The topics covered included needlepunching-resistant polyamide monofilaments for pressed felts, fresible fibres to increase the fibre anchorage, and new construction elements for felt construction. Particular reference is made to the grilon range of fibres from Ems-Chemie Ag, the organisers of the conference.
