摘要
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) has, in recent years, gained in importance and become established as an industrial material in a range of important fields of application. The authors discuss the properties of one particular product and introduce important ways of modifying it. These include the incorporation of conductive, antistatic and flame resistant additives, chemical cross-linking and reinforcement with fillers. For figures and tables see German text.
