In this paper, we present experimental results and analytical correlations on the heat transfer rates in a closed two-phase thermosyphon operating in fully-developed boiling regime. We first discuss a new empirical correlation proposed in literature to estimate the heat transfer coefficient at the evaporator; we analyze the heat transfer characteristics at the condenser assuming a film condensation; then we propose a new correlation for the flooding operating limit. Finally, we discuss the agreement between experimental data and proposed correlations.
