This paper deals with the near field condition such as the harbor itself, and presents a ″total solution″ . The errors introduced by descriptive points per wave length are illustrated, where a cnoidal wave is seen to disperse during its propagation, under the influence of these errors. Tests were made on reflection and transmission through permeable breakwaters, comparing computed results with laboratory results of thE US Army Engineer Waterway Experimental Station in Vicksburg.
