Some topics discussed are the following: an overall survey of synthetics; strategically important materials and defense applications; thermo-setting resins; long-term trends in the supply of polymers; and special additives and catalysts. The recommendations of The Materials Forum based on this and reports on other materials is that the U. K. Government should adopt a confidential policy of stockpiling certain material supplies, with proper safeguards.
