摘要：
The paper gives a brief description of photochromic glasses and a light-sensitivie phase responsible for photochromism. The regions of spectral sensitivity where the glasses suffer darkening and discoloration are indicated. The initial and additional absorption spectra for irradiated glasses are given. The kinetics of the photochemical conversions occurring in the glasses and the effect of temperature on these processes are discussed.
