摘要：
It is shown that the vacuum steel pipe developed in Dinslaken is specially suitable for district-heating transmission lines. The absolute tightness of this system makes it possible to lay under difficult conditions, especially in ground water or in swamp and bog areas. The construction of culverts for rivulets or streams raises no problems. The article deals in detail with the most important characteristics, constructional items and the peculiarities.
