Belt conveyors are important in systems applications and can solve standalone handling problems. These are of two types, belt-on roller and slider bed. The drives used in these conveyors are designated end drives or center drives such as those consisting of a gearmotor driving a drum at one end and the conveyor at the other end. For belt conveyors on one hand, the drive used is the motor-in-drum type. Belt conveyors generally run quitely, and are available in a variety of plies or thicknesses, a buyer only needs to consult the checklists offered by conveyor distributors.
