摘要:
In the route choice problem a person travelling between a point of origin and a point of destination is faced with a number of routes that connect these two points. The selection of a route occurs on the basis of the route attributes and socioeconomic characteristics of the trip maker. Attributes such as travel time and travel costs have to be identified for specific links of the network to determine the route choice. This paper describes the all-or-nothing assignment and a logit type stochastic choice model for intercity travel in Sri Lanka. Then it gives some uses of the route choice analysis and shows the traffic estimation of the proposed Colombo-Trincomalee expressway.
