Hydrogenation of carbon dioxide on Cu-MnOx/Al2O3 catalysts

In this paper, the influence of different mole ratio of Cu/Mn, Al2O3 content, calcination temperature and reaction temperature on the hydrogenation activity of carbon dioxide over Cu-MnOx/Al2O3 catalysts has been studied. The changes of the Cu/Mn mole ratio, the content of Al2O3, calcination and reaction temperature are found to be very significant for the catalytic activity. Good catalytic activity and good methanol selectivity can be obtained when n(Cu):n(Mn)=1:2, Al2O3 content in catalyst is 5%-10%, and calcination temperature is 400 °C.
