Microwave Aircraft Digital Guidance Equipment (MADGE), a guidance system for helicopter approaches, offers these advantages: azimuth coverage over 90 degree on both approach and overshoot, glideslope coverage up to 25 degree and range measurement through 360 degree of azimuth, MADGE provides both an overshoot and a low fly warning and can handle more than 100 aircraft simultaneously from one ground station.
