The von Langley and Pearson methods have been used to study the network structure of vulcanizates obtained from 1,4-cis-polybutadienes. The dynamic properties of the polybutadiene vulcanizates have been quantitatively correlated with values that characterize the physical structure and topology of the networks. The results of the study show that the physical structure and topology play an important role in the behavior of elastomers under dynamic loads.
