摘要
Topical problems of railroad station outfitting with urban amenities and decor are considered. Periods of culmination and decadence have characterized the more than a century long existence of the railway station. Today the subject of its look and urban amenities has again come to the fore. It seems appropriate to promote a more updated interpretation of the specific functional, technological, as well as formal and image contents of a station. The design of those aspects that are sometimes considered secondary, such as its furnishings, should receive proper attention. Various examples of railroad station decor and urban amenities, new and old, are given.
