摘要
A structurally-based model was developed to predict the viscosities of alkaline earth metal oxide and silica melts. The expression deduced for viscosity (η) is; η = 4.9 × 10-9 T 1/2 NO° exp (E/RT) (poise). The calculated viscosities for CaO-SiO2, MgO-SiO2, BaO-SiO2, and SrO-SiO2 binary melts as a function of composition (NO°) and temperature agree well with the experimental values.
