摘要
This research is focused on the corrosion behaviour of three Al-4.6% Mg alloys containing Mn tested in 3% NaCl solution. Experimental results show that the alloys easily form oxide films in seawater, and have stable corrosion potential and low corrosion currents. The surface conditions strongly influence the corrosion behaviour; the fresher the surface is, the more protective films are formed. The homogenized alloys have the most evident repassive ability compared to other tempered alloys, while the strain-hardened alloys have little repassive ability.
