Investigation of Energy Consumption in Dwellings and Efficiency of Energy Economy Measures.

Owing to the increasing energy prices it becomes interesting how high the consumption of existing dwellings is, and what kind of modernising measures would lead to energy savings. With the help of a computer program the energy consumption per annum for heating and domestic hot water supply was determined in relation to the size, the shape, the age and the technical equipment of the building for a selection of typical dwellings. Furthermore it was determined what energy savings would be possible for different building types by structural and plant modernising measures.
