摘要
A description is given of an automatic automobile control system which provides information about traffic conditions directly to the automobile bypassing the driver. This system operates only when the car is running on a special guide lane of the highway on which the switchover from driver control to automatic control is possible. The line of vehicles in this special lane thus constitute a convoy of vehicles which are all automatically controlled with the aid of distance sensors, television cameras and servo control systems.
