The proceedings contain 140 papers from the Proceedings of the International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems, ICPADS. The topics discussed include: design of a configurable embedded processor architecture for DSP functions; partitioning and pipelined scheduling of embedded system using linear integer programming; design and integration of parallel Hough-transform chips for high-speed line detection; multicast scaling properties in massively dense ad hoc networks; more efficient and secure remote user authentication scheme using smart cards; and proposing interest analysis for improvement in usability on the 3D virtual shared space.
