摘要：
The per capita generation of electricity in India is 75 Mw as compared to 15,000 kw in Norway. Power generation has to be increased from 20 to 100 fold to reach the level of developed nations in the West. Alternative sources of power such as solar and wind energy, biogas conversion and the utilization of industrial waste heat to produce electricity are discussed. Case studies are presented.
