摘要：

CMP2-R3 is an extended version of the DIPS (NTT's information processing system) communication management program (CMP). Improvements on the previous CMP version include: (1) Implementation of enhanced DCNA protocols, including a virtual terminal protocol; (2) Accommodation of new public networks that enable new media terminals (facsimile, data-telephone, etc) to communicate with data communication centers; and (3) Improved network management functions, meant to ensure the feasibility of remote operation and maintenance.
